No Matter the Size of the Project, Mini Rails and Start Rails are BIG on Time-savings!
Both Mini Rails and Start Rails consist of an aluminum track (also called a rail) pre-fitted with POM Grad® clips. No ordinary plastic, Polyoxymethylen (or POM), is an innovative engineering thermoplastic often used in the production of ski boots, and can be used in temperatures, up to 195° F.
The difference in Mini Rails and Start Rails lies in their application.
Mini Rails are ideal for projects requiring a slim profile, such as cladding and ceiling sections. Its minimal thickness and smaller air gap allow for sleek installations where space is limited.
- Ideal applications: Decking over PT or Steel Joists; Shiplap and Batten Siding; and Soffits.
- Available in lengths of 6-6.5′, with 0.47” of spacing between the substrate and the bottom of boards.
